EXPANSION TO VIDEO


The visual format is huge when it comes to contetn nowadays. Although podcasts started are still are a huge auditory medium, the need to swithch to video was apparent, especially as bespoke locations for podcasts to thrive became available on YouTube. 

IDENTIFY NEW AUDIENCES TO AQUIRE

The Avatar franchise is building and growing. However, it needed to be able to still develop new fans in order to keep this 25 year old franchise relevant, especially with new entireis into the fandom coming. We developed a new approach to the episodes, focusing on talent as our anchor to bring in new fans of the franchise.


INTRODUCE DISCOVERY FORMATS

How fans discover content is highly relevant to its success. Utilizing different formats with differing discovery algorithms made to increase our chances that both the show and its content will be seen by disparate audiences who may be interested in the programming. This is essential for a show like Avatar whose audience targets are so vast and varied. 


FOCUS ON COMMUNITY BUILDING

Community is a huge part of any fandom. Being able to build and grow them organically is a huge feat. However, Avatar is a franchise whose fandom is extremely active. This offered the opportunity to not create a community from scratch, but to offer the existing one a place to come together, interact, and develop over time.
